ORGANIC EXPORTS: Uganda growing share of global $100b market
Uganda’s organic product exports could grow its share of the 100 billion dollars global market from the current 60 million dollars earned annually if more effort is directed at product volumes and packaging.
Now the local organic exporters association is engaging international players on the way forward and it emerges the premium demand for organic products is still rising.

Meet Africa's Organic Farmers Campaign is an African continental campaign on the KCOA Project being implemented by all 5 hubs (KHEA, KHNA, KHSA, KHCA & KHWA).
The campaign aims to capture stories of change of the African organic/
agroecological smallholder farmers telling what and where they farm, and what support they need from their governments.
Campaign Objectives:
1. Raise awareness of the Knowledge Centre for Organic Agriculture in Africa(KCOA) Project across the continent.
2. Provide farmers with a platform to say what policy support they need to farm sustainably.
3. Enable us to capture statistical data on farmer needs, which can be used
to support calls for policy change in each country and on the continent.

Agriculture in greater Luweero - Pineapple farmers urged to revive cooperative movements
Residents of greater Luweero have been called upon to embrace Pineapple growing through cooperatives as one way of curbing household poverty.
The call was made by the director of Dennis Consults Limited, Solomon Kagaba, during a one-day seminar for pineapple farmers in Greater Luweero.
Mr. Kagaba highlighted the common farming and market challenges faced by individual farmers, and stressed the need for cooperative movements in order to effectively address thwese challenges.
